For generations we have allowed our media to shape our opinions of beauty. As a result, we grow up trying to emulate a version of beauty unattainable to most people without extreme body changes and in some cases surgery. This project seeks to show our children that beauty theirs. Beauty is in every woman and every woman is worthy of love and respect regardless of body shape. I want our children to grow up without the body image hang ups that many of us have.
You are going to see ribs, fat, cellulite, wrinkles and scars. These are the things of living. If these make you uncomfortable, if they challenge you and still you look and take something away from these images, I applaud you. If you are appalled and offended and feel the need to leave, I wish on you the clarity you need one day to accept yourself and others and to see the utter coolness that is in everyone.
If you feel you are ready and would like to be a part of this project or to learn how you can help, please call me at (707) 245-5432. You may also contact me through the contact form on this site or Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/musephotos.us
There is never a charge to be a part of the Bodies Project.
What happens when a FABULOUS old hippie bus shows up at a friend’s shop? We take off our clothes! Thank you beautiful ladies. You are providing such hope and help!
Angie has been a part of the Bodies Project before. She has recently become an administrator for our Facebook page (thank goodness). Angie is a wonderful mother and a great friend and a huge proponent of a woman having a great body image. I am proud to know her.
Shannon is one of my closest friends and a driving force behind the Bodies Project.
Yesterday I had the honor of shooting one of my best friends. This is Sabrina.
Michelle, one of the Bodies Project’s amazing assistants and another of my best friends spotted a really neat tree. You may be able to guess what happens next.
If you said naked ladies in trees, you would be right.
On our way down the mountain, we saw this.
You may again be able to guess what happens next:
We are Shooting a Video!
We are working on a video that will show a Bodies Project shoot from beginning to end and feature some of the participants. This will allow you to see how we are changing the world. Through one woman, one family at a time. This can be an expensive proposition. We are looking for help! We are using a crowd funding site called Rocket Hub. This allows people to give a few dollars or a lot of dollars if they wish. There are thank you’s at every level. Please take a look and pass the message along.
Driving home from a bachelorette party and there was a field. Michelle pulled over and to the delight of the trucks that went by, participated in the Bodies Project.
T. The first Bodies Man – Update

When My friend told me he wanted to be a part of the Bodies Project, I was ecstatic and concerned. I know that men and boys face the same media driven body image problems that women face. I know that we need to normalize body shapes that are not the one magazine size. I did not know how to shoot a half naked man. He is concerned that we have a whole new generation of boys who hang out in front of the tv all day and eat junk for meals.
I cannot thank you enough sir, for being patient with me. For showing us your tattoos, your story and part of your transformation.
